Travelling

Posted on the 27 August 2013 by Nasehamushtaq

In the past few days, my old ineterest in traveling has returned. Ever since I was a kid, I’ve wanted to visit places. I’ve wanted to visit and explore the whole world. From the scorching heat of the deserts, to the polluted city life of countries other than the one I live in, to the harsh cold of the North, I wish to see them all. So far, the only places outside of Karachi that I’ve been to, are Islamabad, the capital city of Pakistan, Makkah and Jeddah in Saudi Arabia and Faisalabad, a small city of our province Punjab. All of THIS traveling happened when I was a kid. I don’t remember much about these places now.

What I’m interested in is a kind of a tour in which I would get to go to prime historical or cultural sites of a particular city, talk with the people, roam about with ease at my own pace with no one telling me where to go. I want to discover the fresh beauty of country life, surround myself with those simple people and for a few moments, delve into peace. The places of prime interest to me are:

1. United Arab Emirates (mainly to Abu dhabi and Sharjah to visit my uncles there and to do a spot of shopping since that’s what’s mostly there.)

2. Makkah and Madina (Two cities which represent Islam. I want to go there and literally get lost and live there forever. “Hum wahan jaake wapis nahin ayengey, aur galiyon mein qasdan bhatak jaengey“.)

3. Egypt. (This holds a lot of attraction for me. I want to see the Pharoahs and the pyramids. An ancient history preserved.)

4. United Kingdom (Alright, I KNOW the British took over the subcontinent and everything but I really like their lifestyle, accent, demure attire and everything. In addition, there’s the Royal Family I like and Madame Tassaud’s is also one of the places which I’ve wanted to visit since childhood!)

5. Malaysia (I used to look at Malaysia brochures online and they were so eye catching that I’ve been meaning to drop there for a day or two. I feel some kind of old connection with it somehow!)

6. Singapore (Since this is known to be the cleanest country in the whole world, I’d want to set foot there for SURE!)

These are the places of prime importance to me. There are a few more but if I get the chance, I’ll visit the above first and foremost, InshaAllah! Please raise your hands up in a prayer and pray whole heartedly that I do! Thank you! :)
