Travelogue: When in the Henry Hotel

Posted on the 31 March 2016 by Katherine Anne Cutar @katherineannika

Last December, I decided to leave the things that were stressing me and get the unwinding that I deserve at The Henry Hotel. I couldn't be more thankful of the internet for letting me find the right places to visit and relax. I have no regrets for staying at The Henry Hotel. With its unconventional design, the concept of this hotel is really unique as shown in their vintage decorations, retro color palettes and classic fixtures laying around its seamlessly unpolished look.

Upon entering the hotel, we were welcomed by two of their staff and this red human-sized bowing fella right here. They also served us welcome drinks while we were waiting for our room to be ready.

The moment we entered the hotel, we can already see the artistic aesthetics it has in every nook we turn to. From the furniture, wall paintings, decorations, to ornaments, everything's unique on its own.

Want to know what I wore during my staycation? Head over here for my outfit post.

Our room was located on the third floor. Each floor has a unique funky concept and design with really fun artistic assets. The second floor was my favorite because it has ebony black walls, a vintage car, and a simple couch. Did I also mention that each of their rooms are also uniquely designed? Yes! It felt like staying in an artist's room. The hotel can't really let you choose your desired room design but they can guarantee that you'll surely have a pleasant stay. Their rooms all have king-sized beds, an LCD TV, and a DVD player. The room we stayed in which was their Big Room, has a big bathroom with necessary toiletries and hair dryer. Their wifi is pretty great as well. More info about their rooms here.

In the morning, we gratified our early morning cravings with their fine breakfast buffet at Rica's Cafe as part of the inclusions of our stay. Geez, they have a lot of delightful morning food.

The modern, funky off-beat, and unconventional style The Henry Hotel has, make them stand out from the other hotels. Our stay was an ace! Almost too good to be true. Haha! It was really a funky-filled experience especially to art lovers such as myself. If given the chance, I'd go back there for sure.
