But before we get to the treats, let’s take a moment for the tricks. Halloween is the perfect time for frightful fun, but somewhere along the way fear mongering worked its way in there too with the annual tradition of hypothesizing about all of the terrible things that could happen among the tricks and treats.
I’m not saying that caution shouldn’t be exercised, I’m just saying that logic and a certain level of faith in humanity could allow us all to maintain some of this holiday’s fun.
So be safe, by all means, but don’t let imagined fear ruin the day. There’s plenty to fear in today’s world, Halloween shouldn’t be one of them. Outside of the traditional frights, of course.
But for now, I’ll leave it at that and make way for the fun…
