Trip down Memory Lane

So i came across one of my scrap books, where i pasted some of,my very early designs from between the ages of 12 & 15. I thought i would share them with you all. I have to say that my taste has changed, my drawing has improved, but i still think they are pretty cool for someone so young. I have even mingled my sketches with clippings from The Sunday Times fashion magazine which was my first ever source of inspiration before i had access to Fashion TV via Sky Digital, before we had the internet in our homes and before i could afford Vogue and Harper’s Bazzar.

This Is my first ever fashion sketch, for my art Class at school. From here on in my art teachers & fashion lecturers would push me and encourage me, they helped to get me on the path that im on just now. But ive sure come a looooong way since then. Look at my attention to detail even aged 12…cute huh? lol

I was always a fan of the greats: Jean-Paul Gaultier & Vivienne Westwood. Never would i have thought i may one day meet either of them in the flesh. The 2nd image here was when i went through my Mouline Rouge phase, I was obsessed by the music video with Christina Aguilera & Pink.

Madonna 1980s inspired, Punk inspired, 2 dresses that I designed especially for the lady provest of Glasgow, when i was 14 years old.
