Recently we were given the opportunity to review the new ARLO multi combination pushchair by Tutti Bambini. As neither Jon or I had used any Tutti Bambini products in the past this was a very exciting chance to see what we, and our youngest child Sailor, made of Tutti's latest addition to their growing range of baby products.
For those of you not familiar with them, Tutti Bambini have been producing childrens products for almost 30 years. From their first shop opening in London the brand has grown but they have remained true to their core concept of providing unique and quality items whilst keeping the personal family touch.
Tutti Bambini state their passion is to 'create great products for you and your little ones, with the highest standards of quality and safety in mind'. Having been producing a variety of products from rooms sets to gliding chairs, pushchairs and cribs to beanbags for almost 30 years and still growing as a company, they have to be providing exceptional items and doing something right. With their belief of 'Wherever life may lead you 'we are with you for the journey' you get a sense of the passion they pour in to each new item they produce and the longevity and quality of their goods.
It was with real sense of anticipation we opened the Arlo we had been sent. We'd heard some great things about this multi combination pushchair and were looking forward to seeing if it really did live up to the 'hype'. As it transpired, we weren't to be disappointed.
Tutti Bambini have designed the ARLO as an 'adaptable multi combination pushchair designed to grow with your family'. The buggy and chassis have been designed to be used as a single, twin or tandem combination, depending upon the size of your family.
The ARLO can be used from birth to toddler and even has the capacity to be used with the seat in a horizontal position-ideal for when small babies need to nap!
The pushchair seat is available in a number of colours, including Midnight Blue, Poppy, Oatmeal, Charcoal, or Liquorice, whilst the chassis is available in Chrome or Charcoal.
The ARLO we had been sent was in a lovely Poppy and Charcoal combination. The vibrant red of the fabric really compliments the darker tones of the charcoal chassis. As we removed the relevant parts from the boxes for assembly, Jon stated how incredibly light it felt and how compact the chassis was when folded for transport.
With the parts removed from their boxes, Jon set about assembling the pushchair. Within 5 minutes, seriously only 5 minutes, the Arlo was assembled, test folded and folded back out again. 5 minutes, I couldn't believe it, it took longer to make a cup of tea. Compared to some other buggies and travel systems, this is a breeze to assemble and very straightforward with no fixing of bolts or frame assembly taking place. No degree in engineering is required for this and there's no way anyone would want to give up in frustration with the assembly process. So already from the unboxing we were impressed, but how would the Arlo cope with real life and a small child on board. Next step, field testing!
Jon was really impressed with the thought that has gone in to the design. Not only is the Arlo very stylish it's also very practical with subtle touches such as release buttons built in to side grips, and a very handy magnetic snap fixing which provides very easy access to the sizeable underslung basket.
The hood has a built in flap with a mesh incorporated in to it to assist airflow and keep little ones cool whilst allowing them to see that a grown up is never far from view when the chair is used in a forward facing position. Another ingenious feature is the built in sun canopy which can be lowered to screen your little one on brighter days. It's little touches such as these that show the thought and consideration for children's safety and comfort that has gone in to this system.
Thanks to clever design, the wheels look as if they'd be at home on a supercar. As the spokes have been designed to take the weight, look stylish and remain easy and practical for cleaning keeping your ARLO looking good. Ideal considering the weather we have had here in Devon recently.
The chassis itself incorporates a very secure braking system located at ground level, and best of all, one handed folding even with the chair attached. As many of you know, trying to fold a buggy whilst holding a boot open, shopping or even your little one, especially when raining, can be an experience we could all live without. Once again however, the ARLO seems to have been created with real life issues such as these in mind and to take the stress out of moments such as these. Folding could not be simpler, and thanks to it's very lightweight design the whole buggy can be lifted and placed in a boot or carried on public transport with minimum fuss.
It's also great to note that the color coordinated shoulder and crotch pads provided are all easily removable for cleaning whilst still feeling soft and nicely padded for your little ones comfort.

7) 5-point safety harness

Overall the ARLO looks and feels like a premium product. The fabric and stitching is very high quality, whilst the connecting ports for the seat feel durable and secure with no looseness or wobble whilst transporting baby in style!

Should a new addition to the family come along in the near future, then we will definitely be considering using the Tutti Bambini ARLO as our go to travel system thanks to it's versatility and high quality feel. At the present time however, one member, Sailor, is overjoyed when he sees his ARLO as he knows he's in for a comfortable fun ride.
