Under Construction!

Happy Monday!
If you've been to my site before, my design may look a little sparse. In fact, it may look like a desolate wasteland, but I promise you that is not for long.
Everyday Lounge Act is currently undergoing a renovation & I ask for your patience during this process. There will be a huge reveal in the end, not only aesthetically, but visionary as well. You see, in the  3 months I've been blogging, I have watched similar "newbie" bloggers go from exactly where I was to 400+ GFC/Twitter followers, etc. in a matter of months. I've seen their fan base skyrocket while mine remained stagnant even if I followed in the same footsteps. I've roamed aimlessly through the blogosphere with no direction & I wonder how my peers are succeeding. Are they up 24/7 tweeting? What are their secrets?
I knew one of them was having a professional looking blog design. I also knew I needed some direction but wasn't sure where to look. But, the one thing that kept bothering me the most was my header's tagline. That almost "set in stone" thesis statement. Mine is Everyday Lounge Act - a lifestyle blog. Then it hit me... What kind of lifestyle? I almost fell off my chair, because I realized that the reason I had no direction is because I never gave myself one to begin with. A lifestyle or way of life is an extremely broad term & includes a multitude of meanings. A good blog should tell a story. A "lifestyle" can most certainly tell a story, but it isn't the one I want to tell here on my blog.
I started blogging to have a place where I could journal, archive & store all of my creativity including my passions for interior design, organizing and DIY projects. I've been neglecting these just to keep up with the Jones's. It's so important for my story that I return to my roots and cultivate these passions. It's important because, now when someone asks me what my blog is about, I'll have a straight up answer. "I blog about my passions for art, design/DIY & organizing". And, that's the secret I want for my success.
