Up, Up and Away!

Posted on the 04 July 2012 by Vidyasury @vidyasury
On Sunday, I was in North East India where we went on a quick trip. Here are some pictures from the trip. I'll talk about the trip in my next post. I am still enjoying the happiness hangover. We visited Gangtok the capital of Sikkim, which is at a height of 4715 feet on Sunday and Darjeeling which is in West Bengal at a height of 6710 feet. We visited Tiger hill there at 8500 feet.
Now, let me take you there through a few pictures: do take note of the date and time.
At 7.12 am on Sunday - the view from our hotel window
Up, Up and Away!  At 9.28 am - we were at an indoor flower show
Up, Up and Away!  At 9.32 am Up, Up and Away!  At 9.33 am
Up, Up and Away!  At 9.34 am
Up, Up and Away! At 9.39 am
Up, Up and Away!  At 10.12 am ... oh yes...there's a point to the time-keeping! It rained all day and we were inside a raincoat all the time except inside the flower show! Visibility outside was almost nil. After the flower show, we went to a temple on a hill and here's the view: Up, Up and Away! Opposite the temple, was the Sikkim zoo. Nature at its raw-est. A leech bit Vidur's toe. Didn't realize until almost three hours later - until we noticed the bloody foot - no really. I am not cussing.
At 11.00 am we met the red panda, a native of Sikkim, among other animals. Cute eh?
Up, Up and Away! Up, Up and Away! From the zoo, we were headed towards Lhasa falls, a waterfall. The water comes all the way from China.
I almost didn't link up this Sunday and felt sad. Then when I visited the other blogs and saw the linky still open at Unknown Mami's - I felt happy that I didn't have to miss this Sunday. So what if it is already Thursday eh?

I hope you're all having a great week!
