Laura Ashley dresses can be found on Ebay relatively cheaply.  They take a bit of work to make as beautiful as Veronika has made her but, as she shows, they can be turned into a thing of beauty.
Isn't that more pleasurable and timeless than buying one on the high street that you'll hate next year?
