image creditFerris Bueller is one my favorite films, and this line from the opening scene is one of my favorite quotes. Life has been moving stupidly fast recently and I haven't been able to put my feet on the ground comfortably. Nothing bad has happened, it's just that getting settled into second year has been a little harder than I expected.I didn't juggle university with a job last year, and now this year counts towards 25% of my overall degree, it's been a bit of a challenge to get time to myself! I had to go home for a bit when I had some lectures cancelled so I could just breathe...my house is a lot more social this year and even though I love the fact our friends come round a lot, it got to the stage where they were here every evening and instead of being able to sit down with a cup of tea and chill out in my room, I was constantly being told to 'be social' and 'stop doing my coursework'. I'm the only person in the house with a job and I think my housemates forget sometimes. When they brag about their lie-ins all weekend, I've been doing 14 hours of work :( However, now Freshers Flu and the initial buzz of being back at uni has gone, things have calmed down a little and I am now able to face the pile of assignments in front of me with a little more confidence!
So, I suppose this is a little 'sorry I was gone' and 'hello, I'm back!' post all in one! My first hand in date is next Tuesday, so I will be posting properly again from next week - I just realised my next 'AWITL' with actually be a 'AMITL', ooops :/ Thanks for staying around and a huge hello to my new followers and readers :)
