I have a friend whose husband is a jerk. Jerk is a nice way of saying asshole. The asshole is abusive and violent, but somehow she still loves him or she says she does. If she does, I can’t see how or why.
She’s a good woman and deserves so much better than him.
Lately the child parts of my brain became conscious and some hidden feelings are surfacing. I don’t know how to respond when she starts talking about her husband, so I hold my tongue. What I want to tell her is I hope he dies so she can get the insurance money.
This man has caused her deep misery and pain over the years.
Should I tell her how I feel or keep my mouth shut?
