That’s how I feel this week…like I’m walking the plank. I’m not even sure why, but I guess it has something to do with summer feeling like it’s coming to an end. I know, I know. It doesn’t end for a while. Shh! Stop posting about fall, and telling me how my break is almost over, and sending me back to school ads. Argh. I don’t want to think about it. My daughter will be going to middle school. But for now, she’s not. We are doing things like this:
No, I have not suddenly taken leave of my senses and bought a pirate ship…I wish. Anyway, I like to be a kid, so we are playing outside at places like this:
I maneuvered myself into a tiny opening to go down that slide and managed to only bump my knee once. Then we went to shoot the cannons…
That there is a top o’ the line frigate. It is just missing like 26 more guns, but who’s counting? Oh, maybe this guy:
This one even boasts a dismounting apparatus in case you need to escape quickly. On the other side, we have the aforementioned plank. I was made to walk it…err jump it actually. After I had done some fancy footwork on a few rope bridges. Speaking of bridges, how’s this view from our ship:
We tried to fire a cannon as a warning signal to other ships that this shore was ours. I don’t think we scared anyone. In truth, I made plenty of tiny new friends. I am sort of like the Pied Piper of playgrounds. I talk to tiny people and they follow me. I don’t mind. In fact, I even brought two home with me. Oh wait, they belong with me. Hmmm. Well, all in all, we had a very busy week.
