Italian design company Wall & Deco have completely changed my mind. Wallpaper is no longer just framing the room, it has become the room. You can have gilded empty mirror frames leaning against a marble wall (neither which is real of course) bookshelves filled with objects of art and doors that are not really there. I really fancy having some giant angel wings on my bedroom wall. This type of digital art can be so domineering I would not necessarily have it in every room, but would make fun additions to kids rooms or great focal points in dining rooms, for example. The company which is based in Milan, has taken part in the famous Miami Beach Art Basel (showcasing modern and contemporary art) and has been featured in many industry magazines like Dwell and Interior Design. And wallpaper has also moved outdoors, transforming buildings and landscapes. With today’s computers and technology, there is no limit to what you can feature on your walls. I found these Wall & Deco designs particularly striking.
