Watching Over Your Sleeping Beauties With Panasonic Smart Home Baby Monitoring Camera Kit

When you have 3 children aged 4 and under, it's fair to say that life can get pretty hectic at times!
I remember when I first found out that I was expecting our surprise 3rd baby - with a 2 year old and a newborn baby already to care for, my main worry that "How am I going to keep them all safe?!"
I had visions in my mind of losing grip on their hands near busy roads, worries about how I'd ever manage to safely get them all in and out of the car in busy supermarket car parks...it was overwhelming to think about all the possibilities for danger and disaster!
Thankfully, 18 months in things have been pretty uneventful - we've managed to survive with no major incidents but still, the worry is always there and to be honest I think that's only natural when you're a parent. No matter how many children you have, your biggest worry is keeping them safe.
In an average day we do a number of things to reassure ourselves that our children are safe - we make sure they're in the right car seats and that they're properly buckled in for every journey, we hold their hands when they cross the road and try our best to teach them the Green Cross Code, we cut up their food to make sure it's just right, we blow it so that they don't burn their lips, we make sure their cots are clear of clutter and that their blind cords are secured to the wall....
But inevitably, there are always times that we can't see them - and as a parent, those times make me pretty nervous!
A few weeks ago, we were given the chance to try out the Panasonic Smart Home Baby Monitoring Camera Kit - I was really excited to give it a go as it seemed so much more high-tech than our old baby monitor (our old monitor did have video but it was impossible to see the baby with the lights off!).
The camera came with the Smart Hub which was very quick & easy to set up - the instructions were really clear and concise.
You connect your smart phone or tablet to the hub and camera, and you're good to go - the great thing about using your phone or tablet is that you can log in to the device no matter where you are.
So I can use the monitor as normal when the children are asleep and I'm downstairs - it has all of the features you would expect including a fantastic night vision mode which allows you to clearly see baby in bed, as well as a microphone so you can hear everything and the ability to tell the temperature in babys room with alerts if it gets too hot or too cold - it also allows you to speak through it and activate lullabies from the touch of a button too - but I can also use it if I'm out of the house.
This has been great for our rare date nights when my mom looks after the children, as it means I can view the children at home in their bedrooms from the restaurant - and its great for checking in when I'm at my Slimming World meeting and the kids are home with Jon too, just to make sure they're not acting up at bed time for Daddy!

Another thing we like to use it for is to monitor our 4 year old playing in his bedroom - he's really keen to have a bit of independence at the moment and often asks to play upstairs on his own, but I'm always a little nervous to let him but with the Panasonic Smart Home Baby Monitoring Camera he can play in his bedroom while I check in from my phone downstairs to make sure he's safe - ideal!
