We All Fall Down… Sometimes

Quite a while ago, i stumbled across this band, Black Veil Brides. You may or may not have heard of them. Their style of english metal is a refreshing change to my never changing playlist of japanese rock and nots. I’d love to go into more detail about them, though i don’t know more than what Wikipedia has to offer, but this post isn’t going to be about them specifically, so i wont go further into that. the reason why i wrote that line above, was that the lyrics i heard from their song “Lost it All” really struck me, and i couldn’t get it out of my mind, so i’ve had to pen it down no matter what. and it had me thinking.

sometimes, we tend to try to be strong and push everyone away, to stand on our own. yet we forget that we’re just as weak as anyone else out there, and that we “fall”. mentally, physically, emotionally. that makes us who we are. human. and it’s precisely because we can fall and accept that defeat that we’re able  to pick ourselves up again, and make us stronger after that to face onward challenges ahead.

really a short and simple line, but i’m sure it’ll have touched the hearts of many. it gets right to the roots of the problem, the roots of the human mind.

if you have the chance to, do go try out the song. don’t worry, it’s nothing screamy nor noisy.
