I've been bursting for so long to be able to blog about this and finally now I can!
As many of you know by now, I married my childhood sweetheart, Adam, who I met at school aged 14. If you would like to, you can read more about our love story by clicking here.
A little while ago a lovely journalist from Cosmopolitan magazine stumbled across my blog on the hunt for childhood sweethearts, she contacted me and asked me if we would like to feature in their magazine for a childhood sweethearts article, in which we would re-create a photograph from when we had first met. We jumped at the chance and went along to a studio in London where the amount of effort that went into re-creating the picture was phenomenal. I had my make-up and hair done (though sadly it did have to look like it did when I was 14 - boo! Not a good look!). We had a lovely lunch ordered for us, they even got in extras to feature in the background! (Even though you can't actually make their features out.) Our photographer was a fantastic photographer who had photographed many of the top celebrities - it was all very glam and it took us totally out of our everyday life!
The finished photograph and short interview have now gone to print and we are featured in Septembers issue (out today - 8th August) on page 90. They were even kind enough to print my blog link in the article for me!
I really loved being a part of their childhood sweethearts feature. Doing the interview and the photo shoot brought back so many lovely memories and it made us both realize not only just how lucky we are and how many memories we share, but actually, just how much we have changed and grown over the years yet remained totally and utterly in love with one another.
