Some weddings, I shoot a lot at the bridal prep; some weddings, I'm just required to be there for a little while before whizzing off to the church to prepare for the big event. This truly lovely wedding at Sherborne Abbey in Dorset falls into the second camp, where I arrived just to photograph a few final touches of the preparation and capture some selected 'dress on' shots. The house where the bridal party was getting ready was such a hive of activity, it was probably a good idea to have one less person falling over each other for most of the morning, anyway!
I'm going to be bringing you many more lovely shots from this beautiful wedding at Sherborne Abbey as we go forward in this wedding season, but I'm sure you can see from these few bridal preparation photographs just what a stunner this one is going to be. I mean, look how fabulous the girls are! Plus, this was a truly international wedding celebrations, for the bride is originally from Australia, so many of her family made the long trip to join in with the day. And what a day it was - I cannot imagine ANYONE could fail to be impressed with the epic grandeur of Sherborne Abbey!
Not only that, after the wonderful wedding ceremony, the party moved on to the stately surroundings of Brympton House in Somerset - just a perfect way to follow on from the amazing surroundings of Sherborne Abbey. Again, I'll be bringing you lovely images in coming blogs from this part of the day.
