Wedding Day Recap

Posted on the 24 July 2012 by Gandbblog @GandBblog
July is anniversary month! I don't think married couples should celebrate only one day!
In celebration of our two years together as a married couple, I thought I'd share some of my wedding favorites from the day.  I haven't really disclosed too much of my wedding day, so I thought that this would be the perfect day to show me off as a bride :).

I chose a short dress because we were getting married during the hottest month of the year. I also wanted to do something non-traditional and loved this garden wedding inspired dress. I stayed cool, I could move, and I think it complemented our mid-day wedding perfectly.   Groom Portraits

Of course my colors were gray and yellow. Ceremony Favorites

We chose books as our centerpiece because hubs and I met at a bookstore. We had an intimate wedding with only 40 guests. I wanted things to be simple and tasteful, and not too overdone. We also included coffee beans in our centerpiece because it's our favorite drink. It is also gave the room a wonderful aroma. It made it feel cozy, even on a hot summer's day. My bridesmaids' flowers were actually silk from Michael's. I didn't want to risk four bouquets being scorched, so we only took a chance with mine. Luckily my bouquet lasted the day, and well into the week. When we came home from the honeymoon, they were still alive!

Believe it or not, the brunette is actually my sister. And believe it or not, she was married exactly one week before me. My POOR parents! I know! The blonde is my cousin, and the red head is my long time friend. The little cutie pie is the hubs' cousin. The bridesmaids' dresses were so darling and at the bottom there were clear shimmery circles sewn onto the dress for a little modern flare. I definitely think they liked a little sparkle. You can really see it in the 3rd picture down.
Thanks for looking at my 50 pictures! It's so fun to relive the day every once in a while. I am going to go watch my wedding video now and sob. Sometimes I just want to relive the day for real all over again. It was so special and emotional. I will leave you with my final FAVORITE picture from that day. Try not to tear up!

Let me just say I had never seen this man cry my entire life. This is my grandfather who is 91 years old. He was so overcome and when I saw him I could not help but wipe away his tears. It is one of my most cherished photos.
Let me also say that we had one of the most talented photographers. Not just for her editing skills, but she captured such wonderful moments. Moments that I hadn't realized happened. If you are in the Atlanta, Georgia area, please book her. She has gained so much more experience, and her prices are reasonable.
Thank you for reading and seeing all about my BIG day!
