Wedding Photography at Kingston Country Courtyard capturing Tim and Sara’s day was new venue to me this season and another pleasure from which to work from.
We were not blessed with the great weather we had expected. So there was a slight change in the plans for the ceremony.
Instead of having it in the lovely outside courtyard, we had to rearrange and hold the service in the barn. It wasn’t too much of an inconvenience as the building has a large glass side aspect that throws plenty of natural daylight into the room.
Their color scheme was purple, and it was uncanny how the exact shade matched perfectly the classic Mini car they had wanted in a few of the pictures. It had been restored by a member of the family and I am assured that they had no idea that the color match was so precise!
It was the first time I had Nick Moffat along as my second shooter, so much appreciation for his help and valuable input to the day.
A thoroughly emotion cermony provided an abundance of great images with both the Bride and Groom exchanging a few tears. The service was conducted by an old school teacher of Sara’s, who had requested to do the honours, which was a sweet thing to do.
Wedding Photography at Kingston Country Courtyard is a joy, with the property having many photographic attributes. Lovely grounds, courtyard and surrounding rolling fields that over look the ruins of Corfe Castle.
Although I captured a great set of images throughout the day, there has to be one special instance that stands out for me from this day. Of course its a moment captured through my documentary wedding photography approach, something I anticipated and saw about to happen – a great spontaneous set of pictures of one little flower girl!
Immediately after the ceremony whilst guest were still exchanging congratulations I could see this yound girl pressing her face up against the ceremony rooms window.
I thought this could be something good from the other side, looking in. I popped outside and got a sequence of images of the little angel licking the glass! Quite funny to capture and to rattle off a few frames before she even sensed my presence. Upon doing so then offering forward a little cheeky smile!
Children provide so many natural, cute and indeed funny images – its always worth keeping your eyes open. You never know what they will do next!
