Weddings at Ston Easton Park: The Ceremony

Posted on the 27 June 2016 by Belinda Mccarthy @b_mccarthyphoto

Covering lovely events, at lovely venues, such as weddings at Ston Easton Park near Bath in Somerset, is always a pleasurable part of my job. It's made even more pleasurable when it's for such a lovely couple as this, which makes photographing weddings such a delight. Even when the weather is as frankly EVIL as it was on this particular wedding day at Ston Easton, it can't spoil the magic!

One of the great things about holding a wedding at Ston Easton Park is that is just as beautiful inside as out, so being held to ransom by an epic rainstorm all day isn't such a bad thing. Let's face it, the weather is the one single thing you have absolutely no control over on your wedding day, and given how temperamental the weather can be in Britain, it's well worth having a happy-go-lucky approach to it. If you think a spot of bad weather is going to ruin your day, then chances are that it will. If you take the approach of 'what the heck, I'm going to ENJOY my wedding, and rain can't stop me!' - well, that's exactly what will happen!

Weddings at Ston Easton Park are always extra special. The bride gets to sweep down the truly wonderful staircase just before entering the room (and this is always a moment I like to capture) - and then, the ceremony itself is held in such a stunning room that it's hard to drag your eyes away from all the gorgeous decor. But, drag your eyes away you must, or else you'd miss all the amazing moments of a wedding ceremony - and there were plenty in this one. Such love, so many tender moments, such a beautiful meeting of two people into one marriage.

Anyway, before get carried away, let's get to the images! If you like these, don't forget that I have already blogged the bridal preparation at Ston Easton Par k for this wedding, so make sure you take a look!
