was about the end of summer and beginning of fall. Can you believe September is next week? No seriously, can you believe it? Really people, this can’t be! Where I live, Philadelphia, winter never left. Like that annoying coworker, it just hung around. Don’t quote me on this but I think the number of days that surpassed 90 degrees didn’t reach the double digits. This is ironic to say, but the cooler was warmly welcomed. The low temperatures and humidity meant that my hair was straight and my make-up didn’t melt like it usually does during peak heat season.
If you live in the U.S., this weekend is Labor Day weekend. To stay in the holiday spirit, I’m not going to labor too much. I’ll sew just a few stitches here and there and then call it a day. Maybe watch a movie, take a walk, or paint my nails. Ha! Who am I kidding? Four days off of work and you know damn well I’m going to spend a large chunk of it sewing! As Natasha said in a comment this week, “must sew all that is sewable.” Amen!
