Weekend Wrap-Up

Another busy weekend. All of our weekends have been crazy busy recently.
Saturday morning we went to a little friend's party at the park. The weather was absolutely perfect and I have to say I think 10 to 12 is the perfect time for a kids' party. It's over before the kids' nap time and we have the rest of the afternoon and evening. After the party we came home for a quick lunch and C napped. Then we headed over to Dallas to visit my husband's family. We were over there for an early dinner and part of the evening.
Sunday morning we slept in. We just couldn't make ourselves get up and get ready for church. Around 11:45 we headed over to Plano to pick up some Craigslist goodies. I found a pretty armoire for $75 and a small dining table and 4 dining chairs for $50. We borrowed my mom's truck and that thing was packed!
I love me some Craigslist! More than half of our furniture (couch, crib, dresser, entry table and now armoire, dining and chairs and more) was bought off Craigslist!
We're slowly getting our home furnished little by little. My husband is off work next week and we hope to redo a free Craigslist dining table that we picked up last fall. The table we bought today is tiny and we only got it because it came with the chairs.
I'll try to post pics of the rest of the house and our "new" furniture this week. Our house has been a mess lately!
We had a late lunch at Taco Cabana (not impressed) this afternoon and now we're home. The guys will probably go out grocery shopping later while Bug and I stay home and watch my show (Desperate Housewives.) I've watched every episode and we're down to the last 4 now. I actually cried during Mike's funeral last week although I thought Susan's lines at the funeral was pretty cheesy. The show's gotten kind of weird but I want to see how it ends.
On another subject I have been following the Ravi and Trayvon Martin cases closely. The Trayvon case is so appalling! It makes me sick! I think Ravi has been treated very unfairly also.
