When I was growing up, we were usually away in our caravan at Easter time. I remember fondly, waking in the van to discover what the Easter Bunny had dropped off on Easter Sunday morning.
The Easter Bunny always left Easter eggs, usually one with a egg cup and an assortment of others and maybe a toy. I also was given a pair of PJs in time for the colder weather. A lovely tradition.
Now that I am a mum, I want to replicate some of the lovey traditions set by my parents. Dora will get some chocolate eggs and some PJs this year. We have added in an Easter egg hunt to our Easter morning. Last year, she was just a bit too young to really get into it but with her love of chocolate and presents, I know that this year will be very exciting for us all.
Easter 2013
We are not overly religious, so we don’t attend church but when she is old enough to understand, we will tell Dora the story of Easter.
How do you celebrate Easter?
