The breastfeeding in public debate is one that still has modern day mummas smacking their foreheads in disbelief; the young mom at the local swimming pool being asked to cover up or go into the change rooms, looks of contempt when a mother chooses to feed her baby in a busy shopping mall or cafe… It’s no wonder why some mums are too self conscious or nervous to even give it a go.
I stumbled across this song on facebook yesterday. It’s by a band called Sparrow Folk (Juliet Moody and Catherine Crowley) and it’s a quirky, catchy, tongue in cheek anthem about how we mothers set out to try and ruin your day by breastfeeding in public. We are of course, exhibitionists ;)
Look out! This will be me soon!
