Welcome to the World Indigo & River!!!!

Posted on the 04 October 2011 by Susiemcbeth @susiemcbeth

Well my last postabout being a ticking time bomb turned out to be very true. My lovely beautifultwins were born by emergency caesarean section on the 17 September 2011. IndigoSky was born at 10.27pm and River Bodhi was born at 10.28pm.
Indigo's first act (even before crying) was to wee on the Doctors head as theypulled her out of me. Her cry was piercingly loud & demanded the roomsattention (future diva or just a tough little cookie maybe?). River's debut wasa little more chilled out, no tantrum just a quiet cry.

The reason I have not posted about this earlier is that it has not been too longsince I was released (released being a good word, as it felt a bit prison-like)from hospital. Me and my babies endured 11 very long days in a small room on thepostnatal ward, we made our escape on day 12, enjoyed freedom for one whole dayand then got sent back for one more mind numbing day. We are now free (pendingme needing further treatment for a rather nasty infection that I have) and I amrelieved to be on the 'outside' so that me, Rob & the twins can finallysettle into some kind of normalcy.

Anyways - I wanted to get this post done ASAP as I realise that quite a fewpeople still don't know that my twins are now here.

I will be posting my birth story, though I warn you it is a bit traumatic, soskip it if you would rather not know some of the things that can happen to you(though I have been assured that my experience is not a typical experience).
I have posted some pictures of Indigo & River below. Aren't they cuties!!!
Btw the winner of my 'Guess when the twins will be born' competition is Kate :)Well done! Hope you enjoy the art print.
