The dress design is West African inspired and the beaded crown is uniquely South African. Cameroon ( my home country) is a Central African country often confused to be West African probably because Nigerians, Ghanaians, Congolese and Cameroonians design similar African prints, speak pidgin English and have many other similarities. I presently reside in South Africa and so I wanted to include a piece of my home away from home.
And Yes, That is my real hair. That awkward moment when people think the hair at the back is some sort of attachment and i'm just like "No Darling, It's my hair!".
