Walking down 21st Street the other evening
we saw smoke billowing from the center of the earth or the rhinosarous horn of a taxi.
More billowing without the taxi.
I dislike flags and flag waving in general ( it brings out the worst in most people) but something rather fun about this poor girl on her tilted and suitably chintzed sofa.
A really horrible iphone photo from the bus on 5th Avenue yesterday when it was wet.
Reading Patti Smith's Just Kids which brings to vivid life all that was good and bad about the late 60's and 70's of the last century. Oddly disturbing but worth it.
