What a Difference a Day Makes, #1033

For those of you who didn’t read my blog yesterday, on Wednesday morning at 5:45 am, my dog was bitten by a rattlesnake in my backyard.  It was a really scary 24 hours, and his face blew up like a balloon.  Check this out.

Well, as Dinah Washington said, “What a Difference a Day Makes.”  Last night, we noticed our Bender was panting really fast, so my husband and daughter paid one more visit to the vet.  Fortunately, the panting was not caused by complications from the venom, but it was caused from all the pain he’s in.  He was already wearing a narcotic pain patch, but they felt it was necessary to also give him oral pain relievers on top of it.

By some miracle, just that one little trip to the vet helped him immensely.  Check out his face this morning!  So much better!

According to the vets, venom travels down the body, so now he is experiencing the swelling in his chest.  It’s just crazy how this works!

Bender still has a long road to recovery.  The vet warned that it could take a couple of weeks, but it feels so good to be able to say that the emergency seems behind us.

My song of the day is so lovely, and I am really appreciating its lyrics today.  Oh, “What a Difference a Day Makes!”
