Fitness routine? What a joke….
In this case follow what Mark Twain said, ‘I have never taken any exercise except sleeping and resting.’ I did want to start exercising until I saw an article which said how sleeping for around eight hours can give you enough fitness to lead your life normally..
The last time I went for a jog was about two years back with my friends, that too in a spur of the moment. With the kind of person that I am; unable to control my enthusiasm, I overdid myself and within three-day I had the opportunity of laying in bed for a week with a severe back-pain. But the good thing : I had enough sleep which may not need me to even remotely think about exercising for the next few years.
But yes, Physical exercises like running, jogging, cycling, push-ups, pull-ups etcetera are all good but sleeping is always a better choice. After all, sleeping apart from being a leisure activity, can help our brain to rejuvenate, it helps to concentrate better and improve memories. It also reduces stress, makes you more alert and those short naps that you take mid-day make sure that you stay refreshed. Researchers believe that during sleep, neurons can shut down and repair any damage done during the day. Without these repairs, the neurons may not function. Sleep also seems important for the formation of memories.
What’s more, it has also been proved that people who sleep less than seven hours per night are more likely to be overweight or obese. So if you are interested in controlling or losing weight, don’t forget to pay attention to getting a good night’s sleep. Now, who would take the pain to get up early in the morning and sweat it out when simply a good night’s sleep can give you all the same.
But, if you’re thinking of hitting the gym to improve your fitness levels. Let me tell you that after all the hard workouts and the swallowing of dietary supplements, what you get is a body that can scare the Bravest of girls. And once you stop gymming what it leaves you with is not something you would be proud of – accumulated fat, courtesy to the very same supplements.
So why take the headache of all these exercises, man ??? Just pick up the quilt and enjoy your sleep….!!!
Exercise is bunk. If you are healthy, you don’t need it, and if you are sick, you shouldn’t do it. ~ Henry Ford
PS: excessive use of internet can spoil your sleep. Why ain’t feeling sleepy yet?
