What Is A Family Holiday?

For some reason I don't usually enter in to competitions but when I saw that Simpson Travel were holding a competition looking for family travel ambassadors I knew straight away that I just had to enter! 

Why Simpson Travel?

Why I want to enter and what I love most about what I know about Simpson Travel is that not only do they offer luxurious accommodation in multiple picturesque locations, that, looking at their website, would quite simply take your breath away, they actually go the extra mile and make holiday-planning for their customers feel that much more personal by actually visiting each and every one of their villas and apartments in person. Which then enables their travel specialists to pass on the best advice to their customers based on their own first-hand experience and local knowledge of the area. I think this is such an amazing idea as I can imagine that booking the right sort of holiday for your family becomes 100% easier by talking to a team who have actually been there themselves. 

I've also read that they have a pre-departure team who take care of all the smaller details that can come with booking a holiday too, things such as airport parking and any other helpful holiday extras that are required such as car hire, airport lounge access, transfers, high chairs and more! I love the sound of this as having someone to take care of the finer details when booking a holiday helps to ensure that a family holiday is exactly what it should be - stress-free! 

And the other thing that makes me so excited about the possibility of a Simpson Travel family holiday is how much thought they've put in to their customers who are traveling with young children. Take a look at Periyali Creche & Children's Club in Zakynthos, Greece as an example, which looks like a stunning location with very beautiful villas that each come with a garden and a private gated pool (an absolute must-have for families with young children!), a beach 10 minutes walk away and what looks like an incredible children's club so that the little ones can have fun playing and making friends! They say, "The mood here is of space and freedom, yet within a safe and child-friendly environment." and I love the sound of that!

Why Us?
Through my blog I have fallen in love with taking photographs - I bought my first DSLR a year or so after starting blogging and I have had the most fun teaching myself how to use it. I set myself a goal of learning how to use it on manual and once I achieved that goal, I became even more passionate about photography.
Capturing special moments is what it has always been about for me as a blogger and a vlogger - it started with written words and then with photography and now with video too over on my youtube channel. My favorite moments to capture are always of us a family out and about, exploring the world around us: learning, bonding, growing, being, laughing and doing the most important thing in the world: making memories that last a lifetime. I also share our favorite family-friendly travel/adventure spots on my social media platforms, my blog and my youtube channel to help inspire others looking to find the best places to make equally as amazing memories but with their own families.
Below I have shared a few of our most favorite travel moments that we've had with our two boys Ethan and Logan (aged 4 and 2) so far, to explain what we think a family holiday is all about and to show why it is that we would be beyond excited to become Simpson family travel ambassadors!
What IS a family holiday?
It's a chance to learn about the world around us and all of the wonderful things in it. 
It's a chance to throw out the routine. 
 It's a chance to wander, to get lost and to forget about the clock. It's a chance to introduce more of our beautiful world to our children.
It's a chance to hold each other close and just enjoying being in the moment. 
It's a chance to discover and explore together.
It's a chance to discover new food. 
 It's a chance to create the best sorts of memories. 
It's a chance to appreciate the beauty of the world around us.
And a chance to dip our toes in the sea. 
 It's a chance to come together.
And a chance to find joy in the little things. 
 It's a chance to kick back, relax and just chill.
It's a chance to match the kids clothes (whilst they still let you!) and to wear things that make you feel good.
It's a chance to let your hair down and to soak in the 'now'.
It's a chance to be at your happiest (and an opportunity to splash your Dad and little brother in the pool!)
It's a chance to try something new and to enjoy new experiences.
And a chance to grow in confidence for doing so.
  It's a chance to remember how lucky we are to share our lives with such incredible people.It's a chance for our children's imaginations to run wild..
...and for us as parents to be kids again!
A holiday is a chance to experience those 'pinch yourself' moments

The right holiday can be everything you need it to be and everything you want it to be. And we believe that a holiday with Simpson Travel would not only be the right sort of holiday for us, but one of the most incredible too!
