I write it on a wall
And it fades away
Sooner than
I could say
‘Hey’ !
I scratch it in my mind
To recall
In those rare weakening moments
But before any old wound heals
Memories gather dust
And just wither away..
I etch your name in sand
Thinking this time
Is the last time
And I have succeded
And before I realise
A giant wave washes up the shore
Takes you away
Faster than i could say
‘Stay’….
