What Makes Writers Happy.

Posted on the 04 September 2013 by Nasehamushtaq

The biggest thing that makes a writer happy, you ask? Getting their work published, accepted and credited, of course! It was in 2010 that I had first received that pleasure. I had submitted two articles of mine for Dawn and I had no idea that they’d got published because we had cancelled our Dawn subscriptions. A pay check arrived one day and then I was like- Whaaatt?? I went online and typed my name on Google and the search results showed that “Digital Realization” had been published! I also checked out that I had received a lot of criticism on that topic in the next two issues of that magazine. I was simply thrilled! To receive my first salary ever and that too as a result of my passion for writing! Yummy! Some months after that, another article of mine, “Texting!”, had got published in the same newspaper and I got aware of that after receiving another paycheck so suddenly! These were the best moments of my life. After this, I created a blog of my own and started pouring out my thoughts here. A long time after, I have received the same pleasure today, getting to know that an article that I submitted had got published on the Pakistani Bloggers website. Even though it is not much of a big deal but still- I am happy! :)

Here’s the link- you can check it out and be a part of my khushi (happiness).
