Over the few years I have been blogging I have been to several blogging events and conferences and each time I have attended I have always got annoyed with myself as I didn't have any business cards to distribute. A business card is a fantastic way of putting yourself out there and sharing your details with fellow bloggers or brands. With a few meet ups and events lined up for later in the year, I thought now would be the perfect time to actually get myself organised and make up some business cards.
1. Where to buy?
I was very kindly sent my business cards from StressFreePrint, a printing company that pride themselves on exceptional customer service in order to deliver a stress free experience. They can offer a design service for you or you can opt to use your own design. I decided to use my own design and uploaded it directly. Again finishes vary, but I was helped and guided along the way too and decided to go with their recommendation of a semi gloss finish (silk art paper). I was very happy with the way they have turned out and I can safely say it was a stress free experience!2. Representative of you
In regards to the design of your business cards you should ensure that they represent you and your blog/brand. As I mentioned, I decided to make my own design, just using Picmonkey, I incorporated my header and social media images. I think if your design work is consisted across your blog, social media and your business cards it gives a much more professional look.3. What information should be included?
Of course you need the basics, your blog URL and email are vital in order for potential readers/brands to be able to contact you. You may want to add a tag line, or a small description if your genre isn't obvious, I decided to add "UK Family Lifestyle". I would also suggest adding a few social media links you're active on, not all, just the main ones you use regularly. I decided to add Twitter, Facebook & Instagram as that's where you will find me updating most often.Do you have a business card for your blog? Is there anything else you've included?
