The news tonight had a story about frozen embryos…
More specifically couples that were divorcing, and what you then do with said embryos.
Now this is the part where I get a little bit lost.
So you are divorcing…you have two healthy children now, that you have successfully conceived while you were together and happy.
Awesome.
But the wife in this story, has made the decision all on her own, that she wants to keep the embryos because she wants more kids…she is 43.
The husband wants no part of this. Do ya THINK???
You are getting divorced you stupid cow…what on earth would make you think that he would want you to have another child, of his, that he will then be responsible for for the next 20 years???
I mean am I out of my freaking mind here??? Is it just me??? Or is that the most obvious thing in the world?
There was another case where a couple had frozen embryos…she had ovarian cancer and they eventually wanted to have children.
And then they too split up.
The woman said that she deserved to be a mother and he was taking that away from her. His point was he didn’t have any desire to be a father to a child he would have nothing to do with, and yet would end up paying child support for…
AND YOU ARE NOT TOGETHER AND HE DOESN’T WANT TO HAVE ANYTHING ELSE TO DO WITH YOU!!!!
Are these women nuts?
I am in no way downplaying the fact that both of these women want babies, and how terribly sad it is, at least in Ms. Evans case, that she will never have children.
But get a freaking grip on yourselves ladies. This isn’t all about you.
This is about babies, and men that want to have lives after you, without the burden of a newborn baby that they NEVER WANTED to have. Is that really so hard to fathom?
Don’t use the freaking argument that if you had gotten pregnant before you split would have a baby together so why is it different…cause REALLY…it’s different!!!!!
There are many other options for you out there, I know maybe they aren’t what you planned, but they are options. Look at them, move on and figure it out.
You are not being fair, and you are not thinking clearly…take a step back and really think about what you are trying to accomplish here would you?
Cause you are only coming across as nuts…just saying.
This is why some things are better left alone, don’t get me wrong, I think it is amazing that we have the technology we have, it goes beyond what I can even imagine, but sometimes when you take life out of natures hands, the lines are grey…the rules are unclear and things will run amuck…
We need to remember that we are not God…and sometimes stuff happens for a reason, even if we don’t understand why…even if it is totally unfair.
It doesn’t give you the right to be unfair to someone else in the process…
