I met him in 1987, he worked in the Produce department when I first started working at Save On Foods.
You know how some people just fill up a room? How they a can make you laugh no matter how crappy your day is going.
That was Keith.
He was funny, he was enthusiastic, he was always full of life and excited about his next adventure.
He loved music.
Over the years he worked his way up from the Produce department to management. I didn’t get to have him as my boss, but we shared many laughs over the years we worked together and he was always willing to lend a hand if needed, no matter what the situation was…
I left the store in 1998, but I still occasionally make it back to the Wack to visit and I have many times seen him around the store when I went in to see all of my old friends who were still working there.
I heard through the grapevine that he was a great Manager, and I never would have expected any less, he gave everything he did full effort.
Two days ago, he passed away…suddenly, without any warning. It makes it hard to wrap your head around. It makes it seem a little bit like a dream. It has made my heart so sad…
I know he is looking down, telling us to just get on with it, keep on living people, because that’s who Keith was, he will be up there getting it ready for when the rest of us to show up for the party.
So RIP my friend, you are dearly loved by everyone who had the joy and honor to know you…and we will never forget how you made us smile and how hard you made us laugh…
