Lately, I have felt an assault of emotions as I have perused my Facebook newsfeed. Being the empath and intuitive that I am, I have a strong connection to energies. Even at this great distance, I feel what my friend, Cherry Muhanji calls, "a veil of despair" in the USA, my country of origin. People are keeping up the brave front as they cling to familiar ways to deal with the many changes happening in the U.S. under that new president, as well as the continual drilling of global gloom that harangues and mixes with the daily local reports of insanity, cruelty, and greed. With such a barrage of negativity, how does one cope?
To my way of thinking, this emotional, psychological, and mental battering should shake people in a way they have not been shaken before. Is the world going crazy? Are we? It can feel so in some moments. Yet, I know there are people holding on, thinking "maybe, things will settle down", or, "it'll get back to normal when 'Person XYZ' is in office," or, those who are commanding Jesus to 'take the wheel.' But people should be feeling an uneasiness about the mantras they are repeating to themselves these days. We are in a special moment. There is more to what is going on than meets the eye.
As we move into the Aquarian age, we are feeling the rumblings of a system being shaken. Things are being uprooted. How you get through this time depends on your willingness to see beyond appearances, embrace truth, and let go of preconceived expectations about how things are supposed to be. Instead of seeing only what one can see with the eyes, know that we are sailing into uncharted territory. There is no longer going to be business as usual. Transformational change is underway, shaking the very foundations and structures with which we are familiar. This change will leave no stone unturned as hidden secrets are exposed, and as we learn of the complicity of so-called enemies, who behind the scenes collude with each other for ulterior purposes.
Things are just not what we think they are.
What if, like Alice in Wonderland, you fell down the rabbit hole into a new way of seeing? Would you try and tell yourself you didn't see, hear, or experience what was happening there? Would you ask yourself why you are seeing what you see? Would you wonder anew?

Hold onto your hats, folks. The old ways of coping may not be sufficient in the days ahead. You may not be able to fall back on political process, traditional religion, or familiar structures. You may be surprised to see that we have given our power away for eons now, and only we can reclaim that power by rightly accepting responsibility for what we have collectively created. You are in charge of your experience. You choose what to see and how to see it. You can decide not to follow the status quo, or play the game we have all been playing. In this critical moment, you can seek your inner wisdom for affirmation of what is really real. But know that it may require that you let go of all you think you know, and of what you think you believe.
What I know for sure is that we are all responsible for the world we have in this moment. We are all liable for our participation in this experiment of consciousness. You are your own redeemer. As an expression of Source energy, you have more available to you than you know. It doesn't depend on a chosen government, or a savior outside of you.
Connect with and get to know your oneness with All That Is. Once you do, you will see bigger and better than ever. You will not be tricked by visual or virtual illusions. You will see rightly, and you will know more about who you really are and your place in this setting.
Be willing to know more. That is a start.
