This month, the non profit I work for has our biggest fundraiser of the year - the Haunted House. This has kept many of our volunteers busy for months - the building, creating, marketing, etc - it's a ton of work... but fun work.
Myself and a small committee of others have worked diligently to plan our Premiere Dinner and Costume Ball. This is the big fundraiser dinner that we hope raises thousands of dollars to keep our Organization going. It's taken months of preparations - between getting our 60 auction items, and 6 live auction items nailed down, organizing the location, small details, live band, and marketing... not to mention selling tickets and rallying our community to come out and support the amazing things our kids have done.
We made a little video for the premiere dinner, and it was so neat for me to put this together in the weeks prior. It kept me grounded for the reasons behind why the work we do is so important.
Here are a few pictures from the event. I was a lame witch that got dressed as the party was starting in the bathroom. I was there all day setting up and never got the chance to go home. ;)
