Our weekend of filming is over and now the waiting game begins. If you have been following my blog, you know that my life is made up of a comedy or errors, but that’s okay because I usually learn something in return. This weekend, we did 3 different takes on our amateur video. We were told to act natural…ha ha ha ha. Sorry, but that proved impossible for us. Take one slightly grumpy husband, 2 super excited girls, and one stupefied mom and throw them into a panic about a contest they never thought they would hear anything more about. Oh yeah, and ummm, don’t forget the part where I am still worried about my dog (she isn’t any better, but I promised I wouldn’t bring that up on camera).
During our first (and second) take, my dear friend used her digital camera to help us out. Unfortunately, it ended up looking like this:
Not so much the fighting part, but the mouths were moving and our voices were somewhat behind. Sigh. Also, I forgot to read the fine print that told me what kinds of specifications our movie had to be shot in. So, after all that, we had to go to plan B. Our answers were probably better in the Kung Fu voice over looking video as they were fresh and fun; however, we simply could not send that in. The lesson learned is read the fine print first. I just said that like two minutes ago.
