Whimsical Origami Dresses - Far Too Much Fun & Oh, So Much Simple Joy! Learn How Here -

I posted a photo of today's art on instagram and almost right away it became one of my most popular images there.

It could be random or it could be people really, really like this whimsical grouping of "folded paper." I am somewhat addicted to making origami dresses and have used them in other art, but the thought of repurposing and upcycling wire hangers at the same time as looking at my dresses?

Oh, this makes me happy.

It is the perfect pairing: origami, the art of paper folding - with books, maps, music.... random wrappers I find at fast food places... this week I have made Jane Eyre dresses for a young girl who enjoys the Bronte Sisters. I made a musical dress for a young girl who sings.

I'm thinking these would make great personalized gifts, too.

Hmmmmm.

Intriguing thought!

If you would like to learn how to make Origami Dresses, it is fairly easy to learn.

I first saw the "how-to" in a magazine, but since I know I do better with doing it when someone is explaining, I watched several YouTube videos until I got the basics down.

Here is a YouTube Video to get you started:
