My dogs would like you to believe that they are so tough. They chase our cats around and show strangers who’s boss by trying to hump their legs when they dare enter into our house. (Yes, I know this is an issue)
It is all a front though. You should see them when it rains. All of their macho vibrato flies out the window as they cower back in fear over just a few little itty bitty raindrops. It’s like I can hear their thoughts. “You mean you want us to go outside in that,” they seem to be saying as they glare at me when I open the door to let them out.
What is it with dogs and rain? I mean – if you gotta go – you gotta go. I’m curious if other dog owners have the same experience and what they do with their dogs on a rain day. Please, chime in. I’d love to hear what your dogs do in the rain.
For now, if my dogs could pick the song of the day, I know this would be it. “Who’ll Stop the Rain” by Creedence Clearwater Revival is a perfect fit. Woof!
