Why Does This Not Exist?

Posted on the 27 August 2012 by Crossstitchyourheart @TMNienaber

It’s strange to get used to this whole evening blogging thing.  I feel like a slacker.  But after my first week of student teaching you’ll all be excited to hear it’s going great!  I love my classes and my cooperating teachers have been nothing but supportive.  I’m also starting to feel on top of things.  While my to-do list seems to get longer every day I’ve managed to organize myself into productivity and finally feel like I’m making headway into this massive amount of work for teaching-school and student-school.  Now if only I could organize myself some free time…hmm…

Alright, now on to what inspired my title for this post.  I was driving back home after school  and was craving coffee.  Not just any coffee mind you, but the addicting and delicious Starbucks Vanilla Latte.  My drink of choice when a regular cup of coffee just isn’t enough.  I try to limit my Starbucks trips because it’s too expensive to go every time I’m craving something tasty so I was trying to think of a routine I could get into that would ease my caffeine cravings without bankrupting me.  Then it hit me.  What if, somewhere out it the big, wide world, there existed a Starbucks Gas Station.  Think about it.  Every time  you go to fill up your tank you could pick up something drink.  Order your drink and pay for your gas inside, fill up your car, and pick up your coffee.  Not only would it erase the disgrace that is gas-station instant coffee, it would keep me from having to use up gas driving to Starbucks.  Brilliant idea. The end.  (but seriously, how has no one tried this before…it’d be awesome and make a fortune.  Especially considering most Starbucks coffees cost about as much as a gallon of gas, sad state of our economy and everything.)

I also have some stitchy progress to show you! Because you’ve all been eagerly awaiting it.

Why does this not exist?

Not much progress today, or at least none that you can see. I added about two blocks of the black background. Nothing very exciting, but progress all the same.

And on top of my stitchy progress I have made it past the half-way point in the book I’m reading.  I have to admit it’s a little slow and even if I had a lot of free time it would take me a while to finish this one.  Oh well.  Hopefully I’ll finish it by the end of (or the middle of this week if I’m lucky) and be able to move on to “Shadow of Night” which I’ve been looking forward to all summer.

What are you all crafting, reading, working on?

Hope you have a good week!
