Why I Love the Autumn....*

I can't believe how quickly this year has flown past.... In January, I was nearing my third trimester and looking forward to meeting my little boy - it feels like I've blinked and suddenly its September - little boy is 5 months old and the year is nearing its end!! But I don't mind, because September is my second favorite month of the year (After December, for obvious reasons!) I have always loved September, because its my birthday month....but this September I have another few things to look forward to as well!  I am very much looking forward to the arrival of my brand new little nephew, who is due to be born by c-section on the 20th!I have two nieces but a nephew is a new experience for me, so its all very exciting!  On the 26th I'm going to London with Jon to do some fun review and event type things, and meeting up with a couple of blogger friends while I'm there - so I'm looking forward to that! And at the very end of the month, we're having a little family holiday to Newquay in Cornwall just the three of us!  So yes, lots to look forward to this month! I am also looking forward to the Autumn in general - as I've discussed before, I am not a fan of the summer in general and much prefer the colder months.   Autumn is a lovely time of year, particularly in Devon - I love the colours everywhere and hearing that crunch of the leaves underfoot is something I always look forward to. I love going out for walks and taking in the scenery, even if its a little chilly or rainy I don't mind as I love coming home and snuggling up in front of the fire. This house has a working fireplace which will be a bit of a novelty for us but a traditional gas fire works just as well!I always think a fireplace is the main focal point in any living room, and Fireplace Megastore have a great affordable range of fireplaces at the moment.  I ADORE Hallowe'en and am so looking forward to having a baby to dress up - I haven't decided on an outfit yet but I am full of ideas! We'll be spending Hallowe'en in Liverpool with my parents so that Tyne can go to the kiddies Hallowe'en party that my Mum does every year.   But we'll be back in Devon for Bonfire night, which is another event I absolutely love! - I usually go to a big fireworks display with my friends but I'm unsure what we'll do this year as I don't fancy dragging Tyne to one of the big events, but also don't want to miss out on the fireworks myself.  Another thing I look forward to in Autumn is the Exmouth Carnival - it takes place in October every year, and is so much fun! There is a procession of decorated and lit up floats through Exmouth town center - they really are impressive to see and its a great atmosphere! We go every year, get a bag of battered chips (healthy!) and watch the procession - I can't wait to take Tyne this year, I'm sure he'll love all the lights and music! And the last float in the procession is always Santa on his sleigh - just to lead us in to the Christmas spirit! :) What are you looking forward to in Autumn this year? As always, I'd love to hear from you!
