A great way to get your 5+/day

One of the first things I discovered when our family shifted to Christchurch was the local fruit & veggie co-op run by Addington Action. This is our households first experience with a fruit & veggie box scheme, but I’d say these guys run a pretty slick organisation.  If you’re in the region and this interests you, I highly recommend checking them out.

Here’s why I think these guys rock! (this is an unsolicited endorsement of this organisation based on our households experiences with the CSFVC over the past 6 months):

  • Affordable: $10 for $20 of fresh fruit & veggies

  • Great variety: a mix of staples, in season produce, & a couple luxury items

  • Easy to order & collect via numerous distribution points around Christchurch South

  • I’ve improved my cooking skills & become more adventurous in the kitchen
  • The weekly grocery bill has dropped

Each week there is 1 bag of fruit 1 bag of veggies

Some great staple items

Belong to a Fruit & Veggie Box Scheme?

What do your parcels look like?  What are some of your treats? I’d love to see!

If you want to see what we get each week, let me know and I’ll post a pic. (probably on a Wednesday)
