Why is It Important?

Today we are going to get all geeky and Techie here on the blog.

Why?

Becahse these days, we spend a lot of time being "ONLINE" (and if you are like me, you are ADDICTED to being online. What with Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and the likes). If we are not on our smart phones, we are on our computers and vice versa. Do you dare go a day or *gasp* a week without your smart phones and/or computers?

I am not sure if are are able to get away from using the computer or smart phones, not unless you are a farmer ploughing the fields or work in a cave collecting bird's nests. I know I am not able to go a week without it. Not sure if it's sad or if it is the norm these days.

Having said that, how many of us do a little bit of housekeeping computer wise? When I was in Uni, I was told to defrag our computers at least once a week and also run some sort of registry cleaner at least once a fortnight. During that time, there were not many softwares out there that could do it, you can run a degrag software from your Systems Tools within your computer, but that means you have to have a separate system's registry cleaner software. Now, there are heaps of "all in one" softwares that could do all of the work for you like this one HERE. All you have to do is install these sort of softwares and with one click of a button, it "cleans" your computer for you.

Why is it so important to "clean" your computer? Like everything else, it is so that your computer can run efficiently. According to CNN Tech Website, defragmenting your computer is like servicing your car. You need to service your car every 6 months to have it run smoothly right? So why not your computer. You use it everyday, it only makes sense that you do this regularly.

Do you have any techie or geeky computer tips that you think is important to share with the other readers?
