If you try to view yourself through the lenses that others offer you, all you will see are distortions; your own light and beauty will become blurred, awkward, and ugly. Your sense of inner beauty has to remain a very private thing." ~ John O'Donohue, Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom
Nowadays it is especially important to get in touch with your own inner wisdom. There's too much looking here, looking there to figure out what to do with our own lives. Chances are, if you have done this often, you are confused. It gets so noisy "out there" that it is difficult to separate ideas, directions, information.
Only that which is deep within you can truly point the way for you. Go within to renew, restore, replenish redefine, reconfirm. You live in the without on the day-to-day. Seek the within. To stay grounded and in tact, you must retreat to the quiet of your soul. Let the din of noise and busyness fade to the background.
No one and no thing has the answers for your life. You came here equipped with everything to make your way through even serious times as these. If you don't have a quiet-time practice, now is the moment to start one. Anything at all that reduces the noise in your head. Gradual at first, and build to consistency.
Let your deep self spark your inner wisdom. It will keep you steady in the darkness, in these dark times.
