It was 1998 and out in the Michigan country side at a summer gathering, I stumbled over a national geographic magazine, paying homage to a man named Walt Witman. And that was first time I read the “Leaves of Grass.” Being a nature loving enthusiast myself, the title caught my attention and I began reading and couldn’t stop reading.
