Women's Wellness event highlights baby-friendly features at Kingwood Medical Center
Katie Perez, international board-certified lactation consultant, who served as the tour-guide, mentioned the Women and Children's Center never got babies in their nursery when it can be helped. Unlike the process she explained, the Women and Children's Center practices prompt skin-to-skin bonding time between mom and newborn. Along with this journey, the Women's Wellness event featured vendors, pampering stations, appetizers, door prizes and educational doctor presentations by dermatologist Liet Le, MD; OBGYN Noel Boyd, MD; OBGYN Jennifer Browning, MD; and Breast Radiologist Chirag Parghi, MD.. Kingwood Medical Center Director of Physician Relations Lisa Cherrington and also OBGYN Medical Staff Member Noel Boyd, MD, served as the event coordinators for the Women's Wellness occasion. Cherrington explained the Women's Wellness event offered an environment in which girls of all ages can attend information doctor seminars and also ask questions privately. Everything from skin care to sexual activity ... our breast radiologist will be talking about when to get your first mammogram and everything else that experience is like.
