Women Who Rock

The blogging community is made up of a lot of 'Women Who Rock'. Women who are empowered, intelligent & talented to say the least. I obviously have my favorites, as I'm sure most of you do as well.
When it comes to being inspired, I'm not gonna lie. I'm PICKY. Since I was young, I've always had this innate gift for knowing exactly what I like. One of the many gifts God has blessed me with is the love for music... and a pretty good voice, if I don't say so myself. My mantra is, if you're going to be inspiring, you have to be good. I am inspired by music. And not just good music, innovative music.
I grew up around music; my parents had everything from country, rock-n-roll, R&B to pop. Whitney Houston, The Jackson 5, Blondie, Diana Ross... I loved them all. But, R&B was my favorite. Probably because I could do all the runs & sing so well on key. Then Mariah Carey happened & sealed the deal. Her talent was not just good, it was angelic. She was innovative. She was inspiring.
A year ago, the INSPIRING duo Karmin, (Amy & Nick) began posting videos on YouTube. Their first was a cover of Chris Brown's "Look At Me Now". The talent amongst these two artists is amazing. Amy Heidemann is my new Mariah Carey. She was blessed with the gift of music. Not only can she sing, but she can rap... like Eminem rap.

Did I mention she was good?
I absolutely love her! And her #style!
I wanted to share my love for Karmin with all of you & ask you to help me put them on the cover of Rolling Stone Magazine! You can cast your votes here & as always, thanks for reading!
