Your favorite blogger is officially a college graduate! I should have thought to take some more pictures to share with you all but, well, let’s just say this whole graduating thing is pretty stressful. The good news is that now I should have more time to pick back up with the blogging more regularly than I have been. I have two book reviews ready to go for this week and next and am hoping to have some Christmas stitching updates as well as more Christmas book reviews coming up. So good things for the new year!
I’m pretty far behind on my reading challenge. I’m at 59 books out of 100 and not nearly enough time to read all the books I need to read to catch up, but the 100 books was just a stress goal. My real goal was to double the number of books I read last year (34, pitiful I know) and I think I can make it to 68 before the New Year.
I’ve also got 3.5 ornaments finished, again, pretty far behind on my goal but I’ve got a good plan. Instead of giving them out as Christmas gifts I’m going to use them to make my thank-you notes for all my graduation and Christmas gifts this year. This way I can make some homemade crafts while giving myself a few more weeks to get caught up.
Hope the rest of you are making great progress with your crafting and reading goals (more than me at least!). I now have to go out into the real world and figure out what to do with the rest of my life. I’m lucky enough to have a degree in something I truly love, but that’s just half the battle. Now I need to find myself a teaching job and those aren’t quite as common as I’d like them to be.
So, send me all the prayers, good thoughts, and good karma that things work out. I’ll need all the help I can get! I haven’t had my nervous breakdown yet, but I anticipate that will be coming soon once the full weight of no longer being in school and being a full-fledged adult finally hits me.
