Hope and Sadness

Posted on the 24 March 2012 by Lilnoodlebug @lilnoodlebug

Do you ever have one of those days when the minute you wake up, you feel bad news coming?
That was yesterday for me.
Hope and Sadness
The morning was uneventful and nothing out of the ordinary
but I couldn't shake the horrible feeling

I went to go pick up the b-day invites for the lil miss...
Hope and Sadness
and they were the wrong color
Now, if you know anything about the cartoon Olivia, everything is Red and White
NOT Brown and White.
Ugh!
Luckily the printing people were very nice and after figuring out the problem
printed a new set :)

The minute I returned to work
the sick feeling came back and that's when it the bad news came
I was told that I would need to come into work the weekend April 21 & 22 to finalize the grant proposal that is in the works
Does that weekend sound familiar to anyone?!?!?!
Yup...you guessed it...Snap Conference!

I printed out my ticket for proof that I had paid plans already
Guess it didn't matter.
That weekend is not optional...it's mandatory.
Lovely.
I need my job to provide for my kids.
which means...
Hope and Sadness
I have a ticket to Snap Conference if anyone wants it

I was sooo beyond excited to stay with my dear friend Jenna and become BFFs
I was soooo excited to meet Carrie and Amy - the 2 most inspiring and encouraging women I know
I was soooo excited to learn and grow in this community.

I am VERY upset.
I have cried. I have yelled. I have tried to think of every possibility on how to still go.
I feel like I am being held back from somewhere I truly belong.
I feel sick.

I don't want to talk about this anymore.

And that's when I turned and saw this hanging on my wall...
Hope and Sadness
Thank you Natalie, for the reminder that I need to have Hope.
I need to stay focused on my dreams and goals.
I need to realize there will always been brick walls, but
I need to have Faith that I will get through this.
