a Little Valentine’s Inspiration

Posted on the 05 February 2013 by Kcsaling009 @kcsaling

With Valentine’s Day just a week away, Pinterest is exploding with sweet Valentine ideas and little things to do to treat your special someone. I’d love to share some of my favorite ideas here with you – maybe some of them will inspire you to do something sweet for your someone sweet. And whether you’ve got a co-pilot or flying solo, don’t forget about the other people you love in your life – these can also be done to share a little love with family and friends!

My personal favorites are the brownie bites with different flavors – not only are they kind to my {extreme lack of} cake decorating skills, but they’d be easy to make for the hubby and his office and for my office. I just might have to whip some of those up. I’m also a fan of the cookies with embedded heart centers, but I’m thinking I might cheat and press Dove chocolate hearts into the center of the cookies!

All this being said, it’s not about what you do to show your love, and it’s not about doing something on that particular day – it’s just one day where us “growed folk” can get away with decorating with a whole lotta hearts :) . If you feel inspired by the occasion, great, but there’s no need to wait for one particular day to tell the people who matter to you that you love them. Seize the moment – make a phone call, send a card, bring treats to work. After all, life is short. Share the love.

Here’s hoping you have a lovely day!

P.S. If you like your treats of the savory type with a little more relish, I’m over on The Ranting Chef’s wonderful food blog today talking about how to make my homemade pickle relish!
